About the District

The Kings Mosquito Abatement District protects your health and enhances your quality of life by reducing the mosquito population to the lowest level possible.  We accomplish this by utilizing an integrated  program based on surveillance, control, and source reduction.  Learn more about mosquitoes and the diseases they spread to humans at the following sites: California Department of Public HealthCenters for Disease ControlWorld Health Organization.

The Kings Mosquito Abatement District is a local governmental agency dedicated to mosquito control.  We are supported by local property taxes and do not charge fees for service.  We have a staff of 12 full time employees that includes; 1 District Manager; 1 Assistant Manager/Biologist; 1 Superintendent; 1 Administrative Assistant; 1 Mechanic; and 7 Area Supervisors.

All full time employees are certified by the California Department of Public Health as “Certified Control Technicians,” meaning they have passed the state testing requirements and may carry out the activities necessary in a mosquito abatement program.
